Welcome
Welcome to the Bridge Clinic website.
Welcome to spring and I hope the wattles and flowers are not making you too sneezy.
We have a new telephone number–08 8539 3232
Our ‘old’ number, which we have had for decades, will be decommissioned at the end of the year. Make this change in your phone contacts list or pick up one of our fridge magnets from the front desk on your next visit.
Bridge Clinic is working hard to provide more medical practitioners and therefore more appointments and GP availability at the time you need to see a doctor. We’ve had the good fortune to have Dr Briony Andrew with us for the past year as a registrar. Dr Andrew now needs to complete her registrar training with a placement at another rural medical centre.
We are pleased to advise that Dr Rhiannon Smith and Dr Andrew Lane will continue on until the end of January 2012 in their registrar placements and hope that they continue to enjoy their work with us.
We also welcome Dr Angela Knight to the team. Dr Knight has been doing specialist training in Adelaide for the past couple of years and has decided to take up a career in general practice. We look forward to providing Dr Knight with a great rural medicine experience while she is here for the next 6 months at least.
We have also had the pleasure of hosting a number of interns and medical students again this year. Bridge Clinic GPs are very keen to encourage young doctors to try rural medicine and we are grateful to our patients who allow our trainee doctors to take care of them. Thank you!
The trainee doctors are one of our main recruitment areas and it is only with our patients’ support and tolerance of these placements that we are able to participate in these programs.
We look forward to providing you with great health care and service. If you have any concerns that you would like to bring to our attention, please don’t hesitate to contact us on information@bridgeclinic.com.au or phone us on our new number 08 8539 3232
Enjoy the spring!
Welcome to the New Intern |
Dr Yolanda Benard has left us - her 10 week placement has gone quickly! Dr Ayesha Richardson has joined us and will be available for booked appointments. As with our previous interns you will be seen by Dr Richardson first for your consultation and then one of our regular Bridge Clinic GPs will join the consultation at the end of your visit, as the supervising GP.
Thank you to all patients who book with our interns, students and registrars - this is a very important part of GP training and education and helps us build a future for people wanting to be general practitioners in rural areas!
